Migrating to Azure Cosmos DB: Why, How, and What to Expect
Before going further, it is worth being precise about names, because Azure's branding has been evolving over the years and can be somewhat confusing.
Service
An unbiased Database Modernization Assessment to reduce costs, eliminate tech debt, and make your data layer ready for what comes next. We help enterprises and SMBs navigate cloud-managed services, hybrid architectures and SQL-to-NoSQL transitions.
If any of these sound familiar, we can help:
Inventory of your databases, data flows and pain points, with a clear picture of where you are today.
True cost comparison: licensing, infrastructure, operations, and the opportunity cost of staying where you are.
Target platforms evaluated with pros, cons, risk factors and fit for your specific requirements.
A concrete roadmap with timeline, milestones, resource requirements and decision points.
How your data layer supports or blocks AI and ML initiatives, and what changes unlock value.
Everything written down and actionable, whether or not you engage us to do the work.
Reference case

“Adiom provided key capabilities that helped Zendesk accelerate the redistribution of accounts across our data centers with minimal downtime. Working with them felt like having them as part of the team, and it was clear they were invested in our success.”
Zendesk needed to redistribute customer accounts across data centers without taking the service down. The accounts in scope were the large, highly active ones, so volume was a major constraint — and the point at which other tools failed. Each account still had to move cleanly, be verifiable afterwards, and be reversible if anything looked wrong mid-move.
We provided the replication and verification layer that made a per-account cutover safe to repeat: copy, catch up, verify, switch, with the ability to reverse direction. The work ran alongside Zendesk's own engineers rather than being handed to a delivery team that had never operated the system.
That pattern — make one cutover safe, then repeat it — is how most of our modernization engagements are structured, whatever the target platform turns out to be.
